6 Steps To Turn Frozen Pizza Into A Gourmet Delight

The thought of another frozen TV dinner may remove the excitement out of dining, but you can always be creative and make a gourmet meal out of your regular frozen pizza. You do not necessarily have to eat what your pizza caterer offers if it does not entice your taste buds, but you can improve on it and make it worth serving to kings. To do that, you have to be creative and adventurous in the kitchen. Learn to try new things and to blend different flavors together to come up with a work of art. For instance, here are a few simple steps you can take to change that ordinary bland frozen pizza into a gourmet delicacy worthy of the best first-class restaurant.

Step 1

Your first step is to order in from your favorite pizza caterer or buy at the store a box of your ordinary simple pizza. Once you have it in your kitchen, unwrap it and remove all the toppings. Set aside the sausage or pepperoni.

Step 2

Chop up a good-sized tomato and an onion and put them in a bowl. Add some crushed garlic, a little water, and some olive oil. If you have anything else that you love on your pizza you can add them at this point. These include parmesan cheese, canned olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or anchovies.

Step 3

Stir this mixture briefly as you coat them with water and oil. Put the bowl in the microwave and set it to high, let it heat up for about 6 to 7 minutes. Once they are cooked, remove the bowl from the microwave and stir the mixture. Watch out for excess water and if there is some then pour it out of the bowl.

Step 4

You can now evenly spread the mixture from the bowl on top of the pizza. Add in the peperoni, sausage, and all other toppings you had previously removed from the pizza and spread them around evenly.

Step 5

Using the directions stipulated in your frozen pizza’s box, bake your pizza. Remember not to leave it on too long as that may spoil the tomatoes. Additionally, you need to keep the peperoni on top otherwise they will not cook properly. As you wait in anticipation for your gourmet pizza, remember that frozen pizza does not come anywhere close when compared to properly-made fresh pizza. To make your pizza even better, you can make up fresh dough on your own instead of buying the frozen kind.

Step 6

Once you have baked your pizza, remove it from the oven and slice it depending on the number of people or your preference. Remember, pizza is best when served hot so time yourself such that the pizza will be ready just about the time when the dining table is being set. If it will not be eaten immediately, cover it with a lid to retain the heat.

Pizza makes a great meal or snack. You can very easily use the ingredients that come with a typical frozen pizza and improvise to create a delicious gourmet delicacy in a very short period of time. Be creative and do not be afraid to mix in any herbs, spices, and condiments that you think might result in a wonderful flavor.
