TLC Diet Review and Recipe

The TLC diet is designed to improve the health of your heart. It is great for people who believe they are at risk of heart disease. Like most diets, this diet revolves around consuming all natural food products. The following are some of food products that are allowed under the TLC diet: milk, yogurt, cheese, vegetable oils with unsaturated fat, fruit, vegetables, bread, cereal, pasta, and rice.

The diet recommends 3-5 servings of vegetables and fruits every single day as well as 6-11 servings of grain based food products such as pasta and rice. For snacks, it is recommended to eat nuts, dried fruit, and other snacks with low sodium and fat levels. Make it a rule to only pick snacks that have “low fat” printed on the label. The main guidelines that are presented by the TLC diet are the following: maximum of 7% of the total day’s calories from saturated fat, 20-35% calories from natural fat, and a maximum of 200 milligrams of cholesterol. This diet is perfect for people who want to improve the health of their hearts and lose weight at the same time.
